TO FORGIVE OR NOT TO FORGIVE

“If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

This is an extremely powerful statement and carries with it very serious consequences. In the book "To Forgive or Not To Forgive" you will discover the responsibility that rests on your shoulders when you are in the position of having to forgive another person.

Many people are trapped in the bondage of their emotions like hurts, bitterness, resentment, anger, despair, stress and depression.  If not dealt with, these devilish mindsets can destroy even the strongest of characters, and in the long term even families and friendships.

The causes are too numerous to list as each situation is unique, but some of the main ones are:
  • parents who were abusive, both physically and verbally.
  • an educator who continually told you that you were useless and would never amount to anything.
  • people who always broke you down with negative comments.
  • broken relationships with unresolved issues.
  • an abusive spouse, again either physical or verbal and this includes times of prolonged “silence or sulking.”
  • a cheating marriage partner.
  • a business partner who “did you in.”

All of these situations can result in unforgiveness, which if not dealt with, will produce serious emotional problems in one’s life.

The normal response to any of the above situations is usually, “Why should I forgive? They hurt me!” That may be true but... there is a right and a wrong way to deal with them. Do the wrong thing and you will be trapped in a downward spiral of Hurts, Resentment, Bitterness, Anger, Despair, Stress and finally Depression. Not pleasant, is it?

Many try to resolve these issues by ignoring them. Sweeping things under the carpet never works. It may bring temporary relief but no lasting results.

There are also no medical solutions for these problems. Medication only brings partial relief and you then have their side effects to contend with.

In the book “To Forgive or Not To Forgive” you will discover the way to deal with these situations. You will once again be able to know true freedom in your soul.

Do not put off dealing with these issues much longer. Each day you wait is one less day of true freedom from past hurts.

With much love,

Jack
